The Alpha Chi Omega Foundation is the 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable giving arm of the AΧΩ Fraternity. Formally established in 1978, the Foundations exists to support Alpha Chi Omega's mission of providing lifetime opportunities for friendship, leadership, learning and service for women of all ages by raising and distributing funds for charitable and educational grants.
How We Share
Gifts to the Foundation help underwrite programs and services that benefit collegians, alumnae, and women of all ages in the following programming areas:
Educational Scholarships & Grants
The Foundation believes that no deserving, qualified sister should have to interrupt her education. The Foundation awards merit and need-based scholarships and grants to qualified members to help cover the rising costs of higher education.
Member Assistance Grants
As a symbol of lifelong friendship, the Foundation provides short-term monetary assistance to qualified alumnae members who have suffered an economical or financial hardship.
Educational & Leadership Programming
Knowing that leadership requires specific skills, courage, and lifelong reinforcement, Alpha Chi Omega is deeply committed to training, mentoring, and inspiring. As a result, the Foundation financially supports the development and use of education programs that benefit our members.
Philanthropic Projects
From its very first altruistic project, The MacDowell Colony, to Its current efforts in supporting victims of domestic violence, Alpha Chi Omega members have the ability to see beyond themselves to understand the needs of others. In honor of the organization's commitment to service, each year the Foundation awards grants to philanthropic projects which support victims of domestic violence and other worthwhile efforts.
